hearing high heels walking across wood floors

the smell of freshly washed but not quite dry hair
hearing my name from across the room
the sound and smell of sunday breakfast cooking - when i'm still sleeping
the smell of the salty air of the pacific
not having to use an alarm clock to wake up
( turning over and going back to sleep )
